MarineQC
MarineQC is JAVA based software, developed internally for the processing and quality control of ADF collected marine environmental data.
The system is seen to have distinct advantages from similar applications developed in the past, due to a number of factors:
- The JAVA modular design of MarineQC allows for easy adaption and enhancement by other organisations.
- Semi-automatic processing on spatial and temporal fields highlighting suspected and definite errors.
- Works with data in eXtensible Markup Language (XML) thus encapsulating both metadata and data within the one file.
The application will allow the user to undertake QC of any environmental data at various levels of detail attaching flags to features, edits and/or quality of the data. This is all possible through the use of MarineXML our standard internal data format for oceanographic data. This format enables the capturing and retention of all processing done to data by MarineQC.
Currently there are three complete MarineQC modules;
- Temperature Profile - (MK12 XBT)
- Marine Meteorology
- Seafloor Samples
